Pumping Wells
Sewer System Maintenance:
The Lift station collecting the wastewater of around 4000 inhabitants is one of the first areas to build up Fat/Grease deposits. The average daily flow rate is 1.5-2000 cubic metres which peaks in the morning from 6-8am and in the evening 7-9pm. This wastewater is loaded with oil & Grease that generates significant deposits on the walls of the lift station as well as the foul odours that disturb the neighborhood. As a result, a municipal technician must go to the station, remove the grease deposits from the walls and pump them out of the system once per week.
Results Of Bio-Katz Treatment:
At the beginning of the treatment, the lift station was thoroughly cleaned. During the course of the treatment the thickness of the grease layer was monitored. Over the next 4 weeks it was clearly apparent that the grease build up was slowing down as seen by the 2 photographs attached. Also no release of foul odours was measured or detected during this period. Currently the technical staff only clean out the lift station every 5 weeks and then install new
Bio-Katz's Blocks.
